इन्द्रो॑ म॒ह्ना रोद॑सी पप्रथ॒च्छव॒ इन्द्र॒: सूर्य॑मरोचयत् । इन्द्रे॑ ह॒ विश्वा॒ भुव॑नानि येमिर॒ इन्द्रे॑ सुवा॒नास॒ इन्द॑वः ॥ इन्द्रो मह्ना रोदसी पप्रथच्छव इन्द्रः सूर्यमरोचयत् । इन्द्रे ह विश्वा भुवनानि येमिर इन्द्रे सुवानास इन्दवः ॥

sanskrit

Indra, by the might of his strength, has spread out the heaven and earth; Indra has lighted up the sun;in Indra are all beings aggregated; the distilling drops of the Soma flow to Indra.

english translation

indro॑ ma॒hnA roda॑sI papratha॒cchava॒ indra॒: sUrya॑marocayat | indre॑ ha॒ vizvA॒ bhuva॑nAni yemira॒ indre॑ suvA॒nAsa॒ inda॑vaH || indro mahnA rodasI paprathacchava indraH sUryamarocayat | indre ha vizvA bhuvanAni yemira indre suvAnAsa indavaH ||

अ॒भि त्वा॑ पू॒र्वपी॑तय॒ इन्द्र॒ स्तोमे॑भिरा॒यव॑: । स॒मी॒ची॒नास॑ ऋ॒भव॒: सम॑स्वरन्रु॒द्रा गृ॑णन्त॒ पूर्व्य॑म् ॥ अभि त्वा पूर्वपीतय इन्द्र स्तोमेभिरायवः । समीचीनास ऋभवः समस्वरन्रुद्रा गृणन्त पूर्व्यम् ॥

sanskrit

Men glorify you, Indra, with hymns that you may drink the first (of the gods); the associated Ṛbhusunite in your praise, the Rudras glorify the ancient (Indra).

english translation

a॒bhi tvA॑ pU॒rvapI॑taya॒ indra॒ stome॑bhirA॒yava॑: | sa॒mI॒cI॒nAsa॑ R॒bhava॒: sama॑svaranru॒drA gR॑Nanta॒ pUrvya॑m || abhi tvA pUrvapItaya indra stomebhirAyavaH | samIcInAsa RbhavaH samasvaranrudrA gRNanta pUrvyam ||

अ॒स्येदिन्द्रो॑ वावृधे॒ वृष्ण्यं॒ शवो॒ मदे॑ सु॒तस्य॒ विष्ण॑वि । अ॒द्या तम॑स्य महि॒मान॑मा॒यवोऽनु॑ ष्टुवन्ति पू॒र्वथा॑ ॥ अस्येदिन्द्रो वावृधे वृष्ण्यं शवो मदे सुतस्य विष्णवि । अद्या तमस्य महिमानमायवोऽनु ष्टुवन्ति पूर्वथा ॥

Indra augments the energy and the strength of this (his worshipper), when he exhilaration of the Somais diffused through his body; men celebrate in due order his might today as they did of old.

english translation

a॒syedindro॑ vAvRdhe॒ vRSNyaM॒ zavo॒ made॑ su॒tasya॒ viSNa॑vi | a॒dyA tama॑sya mahi॒mAna॑mA॒yavo'nu॑ STuvanti pU॒rvathA॑ || asyedindro vAvRdhe vRSNyaM zavo made sutasya viSNavi | adyA tamasya mahimAnamAyavo'nu STuvanti pUrvathA ||

तत्त्वा॑ यामि सु॒वीर्यं॒ तद्ब्रह्म॑ पू॒र्वचि॑त्तये । येना॒ यति॑भ्यो॒ भृग॑वे॒ धने॑ हि॒ते येन॒ प्रस्क॑ण्व॒मावि॑थ ॥ तत्त्वा यामि सुवीर्यं तद्ब्रह्म पूर्वचित्तये । येना यतिभ्यो भृगवे धने हिते येन प्रस्कण्वमाविथ ॥

I solicit you, Indra, for such vigour and for such food as may be hoped for in priority (to others),wherewith you have granted to Bhṛgu the wealth taken from those who had desired from sacrifices, wherewithyou have protected prakṣaṇva.

english translation

tattvA॑ yAmi su॒vIryaM॒ tadbrahma॑ pU॒rvaci॑ttaye | yenA॒ yati॑bhyo॒ bhRga॑ve॒ dhane॑ hi॒te yena॒ praska॑Nva॒mAvi॑tha || tattvA yAmi suvIryaM tadbrahma pUrvacittaye | yenA yatibhyo bhRgave dhane hite yena praskaNvamAvitha ||

येना॑ समु॒द्रमसृ॑जो म॒हीर॒पस्तदि॑न्द्र॒ वृष्णि॑ ते॒ शव॑: । स॒द्यः सो अ॑स्य महि॒मा न सं॒नशे॒ यं क्षो॒णीर॑नुचक्र॒दे ॥ येना समुद्रमसृजो महीरपस्तदिन्द्र वृष्णि ते शवः । सद्यः सो अस्य महिमा न संनशे यं क्षोणीरनुचक्रदे ॥

sanskrit

Wherewith you have sent the great waters tot he ocean; such as is your wish-fulfilling strength; thatmight of Indra is not easily to be resisted which the earth obeys.

english translation

yenA॑ samu॒dramasR॑jo ma॒hIra॒pastadi॑ndra॒ vRSNi॑ te॒ zava॑: | sa॒dyaH so a॑sya mahi॒mA na saM॒naze॒ yaM kSo॒NIra॑nucakra॒de || yenA samudramasRjo mahIrapastadindra vRSNi te zavaH | sadyaH so asya mahimA na saMnaze yaM kSoNIranucakrade ||
