zrutvA dadhimukhasyedaM sugrIvassamprahRSya ca | vanapAlaM punarvAkyaM sugrIvaH pratyabhASata || 5-63-26

hk transliteration

प्रीतोऽस्मि सोऽहं यद्भुक्तं वनं तैः कृतकर्मभिः | मर्षितं मर्षणीयं च चेष्टितं कृतकर्मणाम् || ५-६३-२७

sanskrit

- "They went to the garden to drink only after having performed their duty. I am glad about it. Since they have accomplished the purpose, they are to be excused for their behaviour. I have pardoned them. [5-63-27]

english translation

prIto'smi so'haM yadbhuktaM vanaM taiH kRtakarmabhiH | marSitaM marSaNIyaM ca ceSTitaM kRtakarmaNAm || 5-63-27

इच्छामि शीघ्रं हनुमत्प्रधानान् शाखामृगांस्तान् मृगराजदर्पान् | द्रष्टुं कृतार्थान् सह राघवाभ्यां श्रोतुं च सीताधिगमे प्रयत्नम् || ५-६३-२८

sanskrit

"I, together with Rama and Lakshmana, soon desire to see those monkeys, with Hanuman as their chief, who having acquired the pride of a lion and who attained his purpose, and also to hear about their effort in finding out Sita." [5-63-28]

english translation

icchAmi zIghraM hanumatpradhAnAn zAkhAmRgAMstAn mRgarAjadarpAn | draSTuM kRtArthAn saha rAghavAbhyAM zrotuM ca sItAdhigame prayatnam || 5-63-28

प्रीतिस्फीताक्षौ सम्प्रहृष्टौ कुमारौ दृष्ट्वा सिद्धार्थौ वानराणां च राजा | अङ्गैः संहृष्टैः कर्मसिद्धिं विदित्वा बाह्वोरासन्नां सोऽतिमात्रं ननन्द || ५-६३-२९

Beholding young Rama and Lakshmana extremely delighted, their eyes filled with joy out of fulfilment of the purpose, Sugriva who was also highly delighted felt an auspicious thrill on his limbs and knew that good time had come. [5-63-29]
