प्रेषयिष्यति दुर्धर्षो रामो न ह्यपरीक्षितम् | पराक्रममविज्ञाय मत्सकाशं विशेषतः || ५-३६-११

'The formidable Rama will not send any one specially to me without testing him or knowing his valour. [5-36-11]

'To my luck, righteous Rama who abides in truth and glorious Lakshmana who enhances the joy of Sumitra are keeping well. [5-36-12]

diSTyA ca kuzalI rAmo dharmAtmA satyasaGgaraH | lakSmaNazca mahAtejAssumitrAnandavardhanaH || 5-36-12

कुशली यदि काकुत्स्थः किं नु सागरमेखलाम् | महीं दहति कोपेन युगान्ताग्निरिवोत्थितः || ५-३६-१३

'Indeed if Kakutstha is well wherefore does he not burn the oceangirdled earth in his rage as (the earth is burnt) at the time of dissolution of the era? [5-36-13]

kuzalI yadi kAkutsthaH kiM nu sAgaramekhalAm | mahIM dahati kopena yugAntAgnirivotthitaH || 5-36-13

अथवा शक्तिमन्तौ तौ सुराणामपि निग्रहे | ममैव तु न दुःखानामस्ति मन्ये विपर्ययः || ५-३६-१४

'Both of them are capable of subduing even the gods. I think the reversal of my fate is reason for their inaction. [5-36-14]

athavA zaktimantau tau surANAmapi nigrahe | mamaiva tu na duHkhAnAmasti manye viparyayaH || 5-36-14

कच्चिन्न व्यथितो रामः कच्चिन्न परितप्यते | उत्तराणि च कार्याणि कुरुते पुरुषोत्तमः || ५-३६-१५

'Is Rama the greatest among men not depressed? Does he not feel helpless? He is (perhaps) taking necessary steps (for my recovery). [5-36-15]

kaccinna vyathito rAmaH kaccinna paritapyate | uttarANi ca kAryANi kurute puruSottamaH || 5-36-15
