साह्यं कृतं ते सुमहद्विक्रान्तस्य हनूमतः | क्रमतो योजनशतं निर्भयस्य भये सति || ५-१-१४१

sanskrit

'You have rendered very valuable help to Hanuman who was attempting to leap a distance of a hundred yojanas. He is fearless even when there is reason to fear (of falling down). [5-1-141]

english translation

sAhyaM kRtaM te sumahadvikrAntasya hanUmataH | kramato yojanazataM nirbhayasya bhaye sati || 5-1-141

hk transliteration

रामस्यैष हितायैव याति दाशरथेर्हरिः | सत्क्रियां कुर्वता तस्य तोषितोऽस्मि दृढं त्वया || ५-१-१४२

sanskrit

'The vanara has gone on a mission to help the son of Dasaratha. I am highly pleased with the service rendered to him.' [5-1-142]

english translation

rAmasyaiSa hitAyaiva yAti dAzaratherhariH | satkriyAM kurvatA tasya toSito'smi dRDhaM tvayA || 5-1-142

hk transliteration

ततः प्रहर्षमगमद्विपुलं पर्वतोत्तमः | देवतानां पतिं दृष्ट्वा परितुष्टं शतक्रतुम् || ५-१-१४३

sanskrit

Thereafter Mainaka, the great mountain was delighted to see Indra, lord of the gods, performer of a hundred yajnas satisfied. [5-1-143]

english translation

tataH praharSamagamadvipulaM parvatottamaH | devatAnAM patiM dRSTvA parituSTaM zatakratum || 5-1-143

hk transliteration

स वै दत्तवरः शैलो बभूवावस्थितस्तदा | हनुमांश्च मुहूर्तेन व्यतिचक्राम सागरम् || ५-१-१४४

sanskrit

Then mount Mainaka, assured by Indra became secure. And Hanuman also crossed over the ocean in a short while. [5-1-144]

english translation

sa vai dattavaraH zailo babhUvAvasthitastadA | hanumAMzca muhUrtena vyaticakrAma sAgaram || 5-1-144

ततो देवाः सगन्धर्वाः सिद्धाश्च परमर्षयः | अब्रुवन् सूर्यसङ्काशां सुरसां नागमातरम् || ५-१-१४५

Then the gods, gandharvas, siddhas and great sages approached Surasa, the mother of nagas, who was glowing like the Sungod and said : - [5-1-145]

tato devAH sagandharvAH siddhAzca paramarSayaH | abruvan sUryasaGkAzAM surasAM nAgamAtaram || 5-1-145
