From the soft (pipe like) part between the banana leaves, the soft (pipe like) part between the turmeric leaves or the soft (pipe like) part between the cane leaves till the middle of the heart region (both parts of the chest). Taking it in the middle and taking it out slowly again is called Danddhauti.
