इमं दृष्ट्वा मणिश्रेष्ठं यथा तातस्य दर्शनम् । अद्यास्म्यवगतस्सौम्य वैदेहस्य तथा विभोः ॥ ५-६६-६
"O noble Sugriva now when I see this excellent jewel, I get direct sight of my father and king of Videha (in the same way as I obtained the sight of Sita). [5-66-6]
english translation
अयं हि शोभते तस्याः प्रियाया मूर्ध्नि मे मणिः । अस्याद्य दर्शने नाहं प्राप्तां तामिव चिन्तये ॥ ५-६६-७
"This jewel was shining on the head of my beloved. Now its mere look makes me feel that I am seeing her. [5-66-7]
english translation
किमाह सीता वैदेही ब्रूहि सौम्य पुनः पुनः । पिपासुमिव तोयेन सिञ्चन्ती वाक्यवारिणा ॥ ५-६६-८
"O handsome Hanuman Sita is like water for a thirsty person. Tell me again and again what Sita said to you. Sprinkle on me (lifegiving) water of her words in the form of message. [5-66-8]
english translation
इतस्तु किं दुःखतरं यदिमं वारिसम्भवम् । मणिं पश्यामि सौमित्रे वैदेहीमागतां विना ॥ ५-६६-९
"O Saumitri I see this jewel born (formed) under water but not her. What can be more sorrowful to me? [5-66-9]
english translation
चिरं जीवति वैदेही यदि मासं धरिष्यति । क्षणं सौम्य न जीवेयं विना तामसितेक्षणाम् ॥ ५-६६-१०
(Addressing Hanuman again) "O dear, if she can live for a month it is living for long. I would not live for a moment without the black-eyed Vaidehi. [5-66-10]
