'Tell the truth today. You will be set free. If you tell a lie, it will be difficult for you to live. [5-50-11]

अब्रवीन्नास्मि शक्रस्य यमस्य वरुणस्य वा | धनदेन न मे सख्यं विष्णुना नास्मि चोदितः || ५-५०-१३

- spoke : 'I have not come from Indra or Yama or Varuna. I have no friendship with Kubera. I have not been sent by Visnu. [5-50-13]

'Intent on that object (of sight of Ravana), the garden was destroyed by me. Desiring to fight with me the powerful ogres came. [5-50-15]
