स तदा पीडितस्तेन कपिना पर्वतोत्तमः । ररास सह तैर्भूतैः प्रविशन्वसुधातलम् ॥ ५-५६-२६

Pressed under the feet of Hanuman, the great mountain made loud sound sinking into the earth along with all its creatures - ॥ 5-56-26॥

english translation

sa tadA pIDitastena kapinA parvatottamaH । rarAsa saha tairbhUtaiH pravizanvasudhAtalam ॥ 5-56-26

कम्पमानैश्च शिखरैः पतद्भिरपि च द्रुमैः । तस्योरुवेगोन्मथिताः पादपाः पुष्पशालिनः ॥ ५-५६-२७

- with its shaken mountain peaks and uprooted trees dropping down. Shaken by the violent force of Hanuman's thighs, the blossoming trees . - ॥ 5-56-27॥

kampamAnaizca zikharaiH patadbhirapi ca drumaiH । tasyoruvegonmathitAH pAdapAH puSpazAlinaH ॥ 5-56-27

निपेतुर्भूतले रुग्णाश्शक्रायुधहता इव । कन्दरान्तरसंस्थानां पीडितानां महौजसाम् ॥ ५-५६-२८

- fell on the ground like sick men hit by Indra's thunderbolt. Lying in mountain caves, when they were crushed in the turmoil . - ॥ 5-56-28॥

nipeturbhUtale rugNAzzakrAyudhahatA iva । kandarAntarasaMsthAnAM pIDitAnAM mahaujasAm ॥ 5-56-28

सिंहानां निनदो भीमो नभो भिन्दन् स शुश्रुवे । त्रस्तव्यावृत्तवसना व्याकुलीकृतभूषणाः ॥ ५-५६-२९

- he dreadful roar of strong lions was heard as it was piercing the sky. With their clothes slipped and ornaments disarrayed in fear - ॥ 5-56-29॥

siMhAnAM ninado bhImo nabho bhindan sa zuzruve । trastavyAvRttavasanA vyAkulIkRtabhUSaNAH ॥ 5-56-29

विद्याधर्यः समुत्पेतुस्सहसा धरणीधरात् । अतिप्रमाणा बलिनो दीप्तजिह्वा महाविषाः ॥ ५-५६-३०

- the Vidyadharis at once flew from the mountain. Highly powerful, huge and highly poisonous (snakes) with their glowing tongues . - ॥ 5-56-30॥

vidyAdharyaH samutpetussahasA dharaNIdharAt । atipramANA balino dIptajihvA mahAviSAH ॥ 5-56-30
