जंघोंरुभ्यां धरां पीड्य स्थिरकायो द्विजानुनी । जानूपरि करयुग्मं गरुड़ासनमुच्यते ॥२-३६॥

Place the heel of the right foot on the anus and bend the left foot and touch it on the ground. This is called Vrishasana.

अधास्य शेते करयुग्मं वक्षे भूमिमवष्टभ्य करयोस्तलाभ्याम् । पादौ च शून्ये च वितस्ति चोर्ध्वंवदन्ति पीठं शलभं मुनीन्द्रा: ॥२-३८॥

First, lie down on your stomach on the ground and turn the palms of both hands towards the ground below the chest. Now keeping the face downwards, raise both the legs towards the sky about one foot (9 to 12 inches). The best yogi sages have named it Shalabhasana.

अधास्य शेते हृदयं निधाय भूमौ च पादौ च प्रसार्यमाणौ । शिरे च धृत्वा करदण्डयुग्मे देहाग्निकारं मकरासनं तत् ॥२-३९॥

sanskrit

Keeping the heart region down, lie down on your stomach and stretch both legs backwards like sticks. After this, place your forehead on the palms of both hands. This position is called Makarasana. By the practice of this Makarasana, the digestive fire of the seeker gets illuminated (intense).

अधास्य शेते पदयुग्मव्यस्तं पृष्ठे निधायापि धृतं कराभ्याम् । आकुञ्चयेत्सम्यगुदरास्यगाढमौष्ट्रञ्च पीठं योगिनो वदन्ति ॥२-४०॥

Keeping your face down (backward), open both the legs separately. Hold the feet by rotating both the hands. In this state, contract the stomach inwards as much as possible. Yogis have called this position Ustrasana.
