आत्मानमनुशोच त्वं किमन्यमनुशोचसि | आयुस्ते हीयते यस्य स्थितस्य च गतस्य च || २-१०५-२१

Whether you are static or moving, your lifespan decreases. Therefore, you should only grieve about yourself and not for any one else. [2-105-21]

english translation

Death follows a man wherever he goes. When he sits, death sits with him. Even after travelling a very long distance, the man returns along with death. [2-105-22]

Wrinkels form on the body and hair turns grey in old age. In this way, decayed with age, what can a man do to have control over death. [2-105-23]

People rejoice when the Sun rises and rejoice when the Sun sets. But they are unaware of the decline of the life span of their own. [2-105-24]
