विवर्जितो नरैः पापैर्मम पूर्वैः सुरक्षितः | कच्चिज्जनपदः स्फीतः सुखं वसति राघव || २-१००-४६

- wellprotected by my ancestors, it is prosperous and I hope people are living comfortably, oh ! Raaghava ( Bharata ). [2-100-46]

english translation

vivarjito naraiH pApairmama pUrvaiH surakSitaH | kaccijjanapadaH sphItaH sukhaM vasati rAghava || 2-100-46

कच्चित्ते दयितास्सर्वे कृषिगोरक्षजीविनः | वार्तायां संश्रितस्तात लोको हि सुखमेधते || २-१००-४७

I trust all those men who live on agriculture and cattle rearing are favourable to you. The world's prosperity, dear brother, grows on the profession ( of agriculture and cattle rearing ). [2-100-47]

kaccitte dayitAssarve kRSigorakSajIvinaH | vArtAyAM saMzritastAta loko hi sukhamedhate || 2-100-47

I trust you nourish them and also afford portection and prevent adversities. A king must protect all those people living in his country in accordance with righteousness. [2-100-48]

teSAM guptiparIhAraiH kaccitte bharaNaM kRtam | rakSyA hi rAjJA dharmeNa sarve viSayavAsinaH || 2-100-48

I trust, you protect the habitat of elephants and you have a large number of milch cows. I trust you are not contented with the existing number of female and male elephants and horses. [2-100-50]
