Rama had many other virtues beyond hitherto stated virtues not to be seen in other kings. His virtues cannot be counted and they are the best in the world. [2-1-41]
The sagacious king, too perceived his body ageing and the portentous omens in the heaven, in the sky and on the earth causing dreadful concern. [2-1-43]
The noble Rama whose countenance resembled the full moon, was a favourite of the people. The king realised afterwards that his ( Rama ) being favourite of the people, was dispeller of grief. [2-1-44]
आत्मनश्च प्रजानां च श्रेयसे च प्रियेण च | प्राप्तकालेन धर्मात्मा भक्त्या त्वरितवान् नृपः || २-१-४५
For his own and his subjects' welfare, the righteous king ( Dasharatha ) realized that the time was ripen for the acceleration of the process ( of coronation of Rama ). [2-1-45]
