बाहुभ्यां सम्प्रयुध्यस्व यदि मे द्वन्द्वमाहवे । वेगं सहस्व दुर्बुद्धे ततस्त्वं रक्षसां वरः ॥ ६-८६-३१
"Fight with me for a duel war if you like. Come quickly and with stand, then you will become foremost among Rakshasas." [6-86-31]
english translation
हनूमन्तं जिघांसन्तं समुद्यतशरासनम् । रावणात्मजमाचष्टे लक्ष्मणाय विभीषणः ॥ ६-८६-३२
Vibhishana told Lakshmana in the following words that while with bow upraised, Indrajit sought to kill Hanuman. [6-86-32]

यः स वासवनिर्जेता रावणस्यात्मसम्भवः । स एष रथमास्थाय हनूमन्तं जिघांसति ॥ ६-८६-३३
"Ravana's son, the conqueror of Indra, having taken a seat in the chariot seeks to kill Hanuman." [6-86-33]
english translation
तमप्रतिमसंस्थानैः शरैः शत्रुविदारणैः । जीवितान्तकरैर्घोरैः सौमित्रे रावणिं जहि ॥ ६-८६-३४
"O Saumithri! Kill that son of Ravana with your formidable weapons of incomparable craftsmanship, dreadful arrows capable of killing enemies." [6-86-34]
english translation
इत्येवमुक्तस्तु तदा महात्मा विभीषणेनारिविभीषणेन । ददर्श तं पर्वतसंनिकाशं रथस्थितं भीमबलं दुरासदम् ॥ ६-८६-३५
Spoken in that way by Vibheeshana, the terror of enemies, the great selfLakshmana saw Indrajith resembling a mountain seated in the chariot and was difficult to approach. [6-86-35]
