परिघोपमबाहुस्तुपरिघंभास्करप्रभम् । बलीबलवतस्तस्यपातयामासवक्षसि ॥ ६-७७-११
The Rakshasa, whose arms were like iron bars and shining like the Sun brought it down on the breast of mighty Hanuman. [6-77-11]

स्थिरेतस्योरसिव्यूढेपरिघश्शतधाकृतः । विकीर्यमाणस्सहसाउल्काशतमिवाम्बरे ॥ ६-७७-१२
As soon as the iron club touched the broad chest (of Hanuman), at once shattered into hundreds of fragments, like hundreds of meteors shattering into the sky. [6-77-12]

स तुतेनप्रहारेणविचचालमहाकपिः । परिघेणसमाधूतोयथाभूमिचलेऽचलः ॥ ६-७७-१३
The great Vanara did not move and remained steady like a mountain in an earthquake with the iron club touching him. [6-77-13]

तथाभिहतस्तेनहनुमान् प्लवगोत्तमः । मुष्टिंसम्वर्तयामासबलेनातिमहाबलः ॥ ६-७७-१४
Struck by the Rakshasa, Hanuman, the foremost of the monkeys of extraordinary strength clenched his fist violently. [6-77-14]

तमुद्यम्यमहातेजानिकुम्भोरसिवीर्यवान् । अभिचिक्षेपवेगेनवेगवान् वायुविक्रमः ॥ ६-७७-१५
Highly energetic champion endowed with speed, like wind god in valour raising his fist instantly crushed Nikumbha on the chest. [6-77-15]
