तस्मिंस्तमसिदुष्पारेराक्षसाःक्रोधमूर्छिताः । परिपेतुर्महावेगाभक्षयन्तःप्लवङ्गमान् ॥ ६-४४-६

In that pitch darkness, which was difficult even to move, the Rakshasas overcome by anger and lost senses were wandering devouring the monkeys. ॥ 6-44-6॥

तेहयान् काञ्चनापीडान् ध्वजांश्चाशीविषोपमान् । आप्लुत्यदशनैस्तीक्ष्णैर्भीमकोपाव्यदारयन् ॥ ६-४४-७

They (vanaras) with a terrific rage leapt forward and tore asunder by their sharp teeth, the steeds with gold ornaments on their head and the serpentine banners. ॥ 6-44-7॥

वानराबलिनोयुद्धेऽक्षोभयन् राक्षसींचमूम् । कुञ्जरान् कुञ्जरारोहान् पताकाध्वजिनोरथान् ॥ ६-४४-८

The mighty strong Vanaras frightened the demoniac army. The elephants, those mounted upon them, and the chariots decorated with posts and flags . - ॥ 6-44-8॥

चकर्षुश्चददंशुश्चदशनैःक्रोधमूर्छिताः । लक्ष्मणश्चापिरामश्चशरैराशीविषोपमैः ॥ ६-४४-९

- were dragged and tore down to pieces by them (Vanaras) with their teeth, who have lost senses in fury. Then Rama as well as Lakshmana with their venomous snakelike arrows . - ॥ 6-44-9॥
