एवमार्य समीक्ष्यैतान्प्रीतो भवितुमर्हसि । इति भ्रातरमाश्वास्य हृष्टस्सौमित्रिरब्रवीत् ॥ ६-४-५६
O king, reviewing these (arrangements of army) you ought to be pleased (said Lakshmana to Rama).'' The delighted Lakshmana spoke thus, cheering up his brother. ॥ 6-4-56॥

evamArya samIkSyaitAnprIto bhavitumarhasi । iti bhrAtaramAzvAsya hRSTassaumitrirabravIt ॥ 6-4-56
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथावृत्य महीं कृत्स्नां जगाम महती चमू: । ऋक्षवानरशर्दूलैर्न खदंष्ट्रायुधैर्वुता ॥ ६-४-५७
Then, the army of monkeys consisting of excellent bears and monkeys having their very nails and teeth as weapons, marched ahead, covering the entire earth. ॥ 6-4-57॥

athAvRtya mahIM kRtsnAM jagAma mahatI camU: । RkSavAnarazardUlairna khadaMSTrAyudhairvutA ॥ 6-4-57
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकाराग्रैश्चरणाग्रैश्च वानरै रुत्थितं रजः । भीममन्तर्दधे लोकं निवार्य सवितुः प्रभाम् ॥ ६-४-५८
The terrible dust risen up by the (stamping) legs and hands of the vanara troops spread all over is keeping off Sun's radiance as if creating fear. ॥ 6-4-58॥

kArAgraizcaraNAgraizca vAnarai rutthitaM rajaH । bhImamantardadhe lokaM nivArya savituH prabhAm ॥ 6-4-58
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपर्वतवनाकाशां दक्षिणां हरिवाहिनी । छादयन्ती ययौ भीमा द्यामिवाम्बुदसन्ततिः ॥ ६-४-५९
Alas, the frightening army of vanaras went spreading all over the mountains and forests and encompassing the southern region like the spread of clouds over the sky. ॥ 6-4-59॥

parvatavanAkAzAM dakSiNAM harivAhinI । chAdayantI yayau bhImA dyAmivAmbudasantatiH ॥ 6-4-59
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउत्तरन्त्यां च सेनायां स्सततं बहुयोजनम् । नदीस्रोतांसि सर्वाणि सस्यन्दुर्विपरीतवत् ॥ ६-४-६०
While the army was crossing the entire river-currents uninterruptedly, the currents flowed invertedly for a distance of many yojanas. ॥ 6-4-60॥
