वास्तुकर्म निवेशं च भरतागमनं तथा । प्रसादनं च रामस्य पितुश्च सलिलक्रियाम् ॥ १-३-१६
(He described) the making of, and dwelling in, a hut, the arrival of Bharata, Bharata's persuasion to Rama (to return to the kingdom), and Rama's performance the funeral ablution for his father. ॥ 1-3-17॥

vAstukarma nivezaM ca bharatAgamanaM tathA । prasAdanaM ca rAmasya pituzca salilakriyAm ॥ 1-3-16
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपादुकाग्र्याभिषेकं च नन्द्रिग्रामनिवासनम् । दण्डकारण्यगमनं विराधस्य वधं तथा ॥ १-३-१७
(He described) the installation of sandals (of Rama as the symbol of authority), Bharata is residing at Nandigrama (and his ruling the kingdom from there), Rama's departure for Dandakaranya, and the killing of Viradha. ॥ 1-3-17॥

pAdukAgryAbhiSekaM ca nandrigrAmanivAsanam । daNDakAraNyagamanaM virAdhasya vadhaM tathA ॥ 1-3-17
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदर्शनं शरभङ्गस्य सुतीक्ष्णेन समागमम् । अनसूयासमाख्यां च अङ्गरागस्य चार्पणम् ॥ १-३-१८
(He described) Rama's meeting with (sage) Sarabhanga and his arrival at Sutikshna's, Sita's companionship with Anasuya and anointing of fragrant unguents to her body. ॥ 1-3-18॥

darzanaM zarabhaGgasya sutIkSNena samAgamam । anasUyAsamAkhyAM ca aGgarAgasya cArpaNam ॥ 1-3-18
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदर्शनं चाप्यगस्त्यस्य धनुषो ग्रहणं तथा । शुर्पणख्याश्च संवादं विरुपकरणं तथा ॥ १-३-१९
(He described) the departure of Rama for Panchavati, the interview with sage Agastya, the meeting with Jatayu and the appearance of Surpanakha. ॥ 1-3-19॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptवधं खरत्रिशिरसोरुत्थानं रावणास्य च । मारीचस्य वधं चैव वैदेह्या हरणं तथा ॥ १-३-२०
(He described) Rama's dialogue with Surpanakha, her disfigurement, the slaughter of Khara and Trisira, and the beginning of efforts by Ravana (to harm Rama). ॥ 1-3-20॥
