संविवेशाबला भूमौ निवेश्य भृकुटिं मुखे । ततश्चित्राणि माल्यानि दिव्यान्याभरणानि च ॥ २-१०-६

With a soiled body and a frowning face she lay down on the floor. Thereafter, her multicoloured garlands along with her costly ornaments - [2-10-6]

english translation

अपविद्धानि कैकेय्या तानि भूमिं प्रपेदिरे । तया तान्यपविद्धानि माल्यान्याभरणानि च ॥ २-१०-७

- Kaikeyi flung away those on to the ground. All those garlands and the ornaments thrown away by her, ( scattered ) .- [2-10-7]

english translation

अशोभयन्त वसुधां नक्षत्राणि यथा नभः । क्रोधागारे निपतिता सा बभौ मलिनाम्बरा ॥ २-१०-८

- adorned the floor like the stars (illumining) in the sky. She lay down in the chamber of wrath, wearing soiled clothes . - [2-10-8]

एकवेणीं दृढं बद्ध्वा गतसत्त्वेव किन्नरी । आज्ञाप्य तु महाराजो राघवस्याभिषेचन्म् ॥ २-१०-९

and tightly fastening her hair into a single braid, in a lifeless state like a kinnari. The king ( Dasaratha ) issued orders for Rama's coronation ceremony and . - [2-10-9]

उपस्थासमनुज्ञाप्य प्रविवेश निवेशन्म् । अद्य रामाभिषेको वै प्रसिद्ध इति जज्ञिवान् ॥ २-१०-१०

- taking leave of his close associates entered the palace. Aware of the fact that Rama's installation ceremony was known to everybody . - [2-10-10]
