हन्यां निशितधारेण शरेणाशनिवर्चसा । भवांस्तत्राभिषज्येत किंस्यात्कृच्छ्रतरं ततः ॥ ३-७-२१
- I will kill with a sharpedged arrow, glowing like a thunderbolt. What can be more agonizing for you (than my killing animals)? ॥ 3-7-21॥
english translation
hanyAM nizitadhAreNa zareNAzanivarcasA । bhavAMstatrAbhiSajyeta kiMsyAtkRcchrataraM tataH ॥ 3-7-21
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतस्मिन्नाश्रमे वासं चिरं तु न समर्थये ॥ तमेवमुक्त्वोपरमं रामस्सन्ध्यामुपागमत् ॥ ३-७-२२
I (therefore) do not foresee our long stay in this hermitage.' On saying thus to the sage then Rama came by the twilight, and he paused at it. ॥ 3-7-22॥
english translation
etasminnAzrame vAsaM ciraM tu na samarthaye ॥ tamevamuktvoparamaM rAmassandhyAmupAgamat ॥ 3-7-22
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअन्वास्य पश्चिमां संध्याम् तत्र वासमकल्पयत् । सुतीक्ष्णस्याऽश्रमे रम्ये सीतया लक्ष्मणेन च ॥ ३-७-२३
On worshipping the westward vesperal time, Rama arranged a stay for himself along with Sita and Lakshmana in the delightful hermitage of Sutikshna. ॥ 3-7-23॥
english translation
anvAsya pazcimAM saMdhyAm tatra vAsamakalpayat । sutIkSNasyA'zrame ramye sItayA lakSmaNena ca ॥ 3-7-23
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः शुभं तापसभोज्यमन्नं स्वयं सुतीक्ष्णः पुरुषर्षभाभ्याम् । ताभ्यां सुसत्कृत्य ददौ महात्मा सन्ध्यानिवृत्तौ रजनीमवेक्ष्य ॥ ३-७-२४
Seeing that the evening had passed and night had set in, the great sage Sutikshna with due hospitality, served those best of men, food fit for ascetics. ॥ 3-7-24॥

tataH zubhaM tApasabhojyamannaM svayaM sutIkSNaH puruSarSabhAbhyAm । tAbhyAM susatkRtya dadau mahAtmA sandhyAnivRttau rajanImavekSya ॥ 3-7-24
