1. 31

    विश्वं यदेतत्स्वतनौ निशान्ते यथावकाशं पुरुषः परो भवान् । बिभर्ति सोऽयं मम गर्भगोऽभूदहो नृलोकस्य विडम्बनं हि तत् ।। १०-३-३१ ।।

    At the time of devastation, the entire cosmos, containing all created moving and nonmoving entities, enters Your transcendental body and is held there without difficulty. But now this transcendental form has taken birth from my womb. People will not be able to believe this, and I shall become an object of ridicule. ।। 10-3-31 ।।

  2. 32

    श्रीभगवानुवाच त्वमेव पूर्वसर्गेऽभूः पृश्निः स्वायम्भुवे सति । तदायं सुतपा नाम प्रजापतिरकल्मषः ।। १०-३-३२ ।।

    The Supreme Personality of Godhead replied: My dear mother, best of the chaste, in your previous birth, in the Svāyambhuva millennium, you were known as Pṛśni, and Vasudeva, who was the most pious Prajāpati, was named Sutapā. ।। 10-3-32 ।।

    युवां वै ब्रह्मणाऽऽदिष्टौ प्रजासर्गे यदा ततः । सन्नियम्येन्द्रियग्रामं तेपाथे परमं तपः ।। १०-३-३३ ।।

    When both of you were ordered by Lord Brahmā to create progeny, you first underwent severe austerities by controlling your senses. ।। 10-3-33 ।।

  4. 34

    वर्षवातातपहिमघर्मकालगुणाननु । सहमानौ श्वासरोधविनिर्धूतमनोमलौ ।। १०-३-३४ ।।

    Beloved parents, you both bravely faced rain, wind, intense sun, searing heat, and biting cold, enduring diverse discomforts with changing seasons. You purified your minds by removing all impurities. ।। 10-3-34 ।।

  5. 35

    शीर्णपर्णानिलाहारावुपशान्तेन चेतसा । मत्तः कामानभीप्सन्तौ मदाराधनमीहतुः ।। १०-३-३५ ।।

    Through the discipline of prāṇāyāma, which entails regulating the internal breath using yogic techniques, and by consuming solely air and the withered leaves dropped by trees, you sought my favor. By doing so, you worshiped me with serene hearts, aspiring for a blessing. ।। 10-3-35 ।।
