    दृष्ट्वा निपतितं भूमौ रावणं भग्नवाहनम् | साधुसाध्विति भूतानि गृध्रराजमपूजयन् || ३-५१-२१

    Seeing Ravana fallen on the ground with his broken chariot, all beings honoured the king of the birds, saying, Well done ! Well done !. [3-51-21]

    परिश्रान्तं तु तं दृष्टवा जरया पक्षियूथपम् | उत्पपात पुनर्हृष्टो मैथिलीं गृह्य रावणः || ३-५१-२२

    Seeing the lord of the flocks of birds exhausted due to age still fighting, Ravana felt glad. He flew back into the sky taking Sita, princess of Mithila, with him. [3-51-22]

  3. 23

    तं प्रहृष्टं निधायाङ्के गच्छन्तं जनकात्मजाम् | गृध्रराजस्समुत्पत्य समभिद्रुत्य रावणम् || ३-५१-२३

    Seeing Sita, Janaka's daughter, happily carried away into the sky by Ravana on his lap, he ( Jatayu ) chased him. [3-51-23]

    समावार्य महातेजा जटायुरिदमब्रवीत् | वज्रसंस्पर्शबाणस्य भार्यां रामस्य रावण || ३-५१-२४

    Jatayu, the mighty king of vultures obstructing his path said : - 'To the wife of Rama, whose arrows can hit like a thunderbolt, oh ! Raavana,..... - [3-51-24]

    अल्पबुद्धे हरस्येनां वधाय खलु रक्षसाम् | समित्रबन्धुः सअमात्यः सबलः सपरिच्छदः || ३-५१-२५

    - foolish one, you are kidnapping this lady. This will lead to the destruction of all demons. Along with all your friends, relatives, ministers, the army and your allies..... - [3-51-25]
